Mormons, Trappist monks, gang kids, McCarthy Era victims, Pope John Paul II, the mentally ill, Presidential candidates, Richard Avedon, 9/11, South Africa�s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the Rwandan genocide, forgiveness: a small sampling of the documentary subjects treated by Helen Whitney. Helen Whitney is an award-winning producer, director, and writer of documentaries whose features have aired on PBS, HBO, and ABC. In these lectures, she will talk about her passionate interest in religious experience and her equally passionate fascination with peoples� lives, especially the lives of outsiders. She will be using her films to illustrate and delineate these spiritual landscapes, which have come to define and enliven her life in film.

The Noble Lectures are free and open to the public.

Every Sunday night we gather for a �come as you are� worship service that includes the celebration of Holy Communion. The service is designed to provide a peaceful and contemplative space to find peace and encounter the divine at the start of the week. Following the service, we gather downstairs in the Buttrick Room for food and some social time together.

The Faith & Life Forum

The Faith & Life Forum explores issues of faith in our devotional and public life. The Forum meets on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:00 a.m. with continental breakfast and conversation followed by a speaker and program from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Participants may remain for informal discussion until the beginning of the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
